Over-simplification or reductionism has in turn perpetuated greed
(via the use of the term, "scarcity") and deception of the "masses"
(ie. media/advertising) without "lying" .
Our social and ecological problems have to do with how civilized
society (civilization) has re-constructed the Earth (via deforestation,
massive quantities of concrete and asphalt, over-fishing, and other
means of) depleting the limited natural resources. Instead, those
market-corperations and institutions should turn there heads towards
the light around them, and see there is nothing really to "sell."
Especially not private property, public property, or government
lands, for these are the initial reductionist (isolationist) ideaologies.
The truncation of an irrational number's "irrelevant" decimal
places (ie. Pi) has led to the approximation of nature (and circles)
to fit our constructed world. An example of this is a digital representation
of an analog waveform. Whereby, only a certain number of points
of the wave are taken into consideration and the rest are approximated
or ignored.
This may have occured because of our desire to put into pragmatic
terms the divinity of infinity. Some ancient western societies have
angularized circles and in turn aspects
of the human condition (compartmentalizing people via specialization,
commodifing "resources," etc.). Today, we are still living without
significant impetus(from the media, business, and/or government)
to balance and improve the harmony and dialogue between all people.
WHY ? ?
The historical canon evident with the art, music, and philosophy
of "western civilization" prevades the unconsciouss mind. The images
and sounds that are best suited to maintaining control over order,
by super-imposing an controlled structure onto a ordered universe
is the goal of the builders of this society. The cannon of stone
art is meant to show the power of the ruling class, by remaining
changeless over time.
Chaos by definition is "The disordered state of unformed matter
and infinite space supposed in some cosmogonic views to have existed
before the ordered universe." And "The aperiodic, unpredictable
behavior arising in a system extremely sensitive to variations in
initial conditions." Thus by trying to control a chaotic Earth (system),
there is in fact many critical ramification that are a direct result
of our actions.
